Secretariat to General Director and BOD It coordinates and conducts the business relations of the General Management and the Board of Directors inside and outside the Bank. Board of Inspection It carries out various functions such as inspection, research and investigation on behalf of the Board of Directors, in accordance with legal regulations and the authority specified in the Regulation of the Board of Inspection. Legal Affaires This department defends the interests of the Bank in all aspects, makes sure that all transactions are carried out in accordance with laws and expresses its legal opinion upon issues defined by the General Directorate. It acts within the Risk Management System to define, measure, monitor and control the risks the Bank is exposed to through politics, application procedures and limits determined in order to monitor, control and change when necessary the risk-return structure of the Bank’s future cash flows, and hence the nature and level of activities. It acts within the Internal Control System defined as ensuring to protect Development Bank of Turkey’s assets, to conduct its activities effectively and efficiently in accordance with laws, the Bank’s internal policies and rules as well as banking usages; ensuring the reliability and integrity of the accounting and financial reporting system, and the obtainability of knowledge in time.
It makes researches, monitoring daily progresses, contributes to decision-making process by its proposals in order to conduct effectively and efficiently development banking activities. It gathers information on the entrepreneurs who apply for a credit to our Bank. Financial Institutions Department It develops new business and products in conformity with the Bank’s strategies, participates for this purpose in national and international projects, plans wholesale banking operations and conducts the activities in this scope. It is implied in demand-creation activities for our products to be used in the financing of internal and external investments, follows up the developments in the sector and helps develop policies about activities of the Bank. It acts also as a filter for credits applications.
This department evaluates the applications of companies in tourism, training and health etc. sectors for our products such as loan and other products. Loan Follow Up and Collections Department It follows up and monitors the loans allocated by the Bank, as well as other Bank products. Moreover, it conducts the transactions concerning the use of Eximbank’s Pre-Shipment Export Credits.
This department makes necessary arrangements and works in order to carry out in computer environment the transactions concerning the main activities of the Bank, in conformity with today's technology and current laws and regulations; to create a consistent and current database in this process and ensure an accurate, fast and flexible information production through it. Corporate Banking and Investment Department Tasks of the department: carrying out the participation handlings, alienate the stockholdings of participations, increase of Bank capital, valuation of the companies, purchase, supervising of privatizations and associations, execution of investment banking services and contacting share holders, control and follow-up of regulations and information policy including public notice. Treasury Department Tasks of the department: guidance of foreign currency and Turkish lira funds by using instruments of the money market in accordance with guidelines of the Bank and the related departments, representing the obligations of the public and private sector, trade and registration of negotiable papers, organizing short and long term assets and liabilities of the Bank, making arrangements for obtaining and maintaining the most convenient liquidity corresponding the market and legal obligations, arrangement of mutual funds and conducting their activities fort he benefit of the customers security holdings. Financial Affairs Department Tasks of the department: disbursement and receipt of allocated banking products and performing exchange and other banking transactions, determination and execution of guidelines and procedures of the account and registration system, carrying out the legal entries and preparing financial charts and reports in coordination with related departments. Human Resources Department Tasks of the department: promoting efficiency and productivity in the scope of carrying out the activities of the Bank and pursuing the personal rights of the staff regarding the laws and policies involved. Training and Public Relations Department Tasks of the department: realization of training arrangements for the purpose of more efficient and productive banking and completion of public relations and advertisement of the Bank. Administrative and Social Affairs Department The department is responsible for the completion of administrative and social matters. Budgeting and Reporting Department Tasks of the department: preparing and supervising the budget and working programs of the Bank, reporting the results, drawing up the activity report to make the performance more visible, reporting the statistical data requested by different agencies and institutions. Appraisal of the report of the Higher Supervisory Council of the Prime Ministry in regard of the activities of the Bank. Strategic Planning and Quality Management Department Tasks of the department: choice of necessary steps regarding the determination and achievement of future aims. Planning and carrying out the quality management of the Bank. Tasks: boosting the demand for the products of the Bank for financing future investments in and around İstanbul. Pursuing the developments of the sector, supporting the work out of new policies. Working in coordination with the Loan Marketing Department. |
